FUME Acting Lab · Liverpool

One day. A workshop for neurodivergent actors in Liverpool.

Sick and tired of masking in your work as an actor?

Whether you’re formally diagnosed or self-diagnosed, you’re welcome here. Come and train in a professional setting. Push yourself as an actor in a way that’s safe but still challenging. Then take what you learn out into the real world.

Our classes are small, so you get more time to work than in most other classes. Come and learn to work with your brain, not against it.

What happens on the day

  • You learn regulation techniques you can use on a set.
  • You learn how to advocate for yourself as an actor.
  • You work on two scenes across the day, with different partners.
  • You talk through your breakthroughs in regulation chats.

You leave knowing how to work with your brain, not against it.

The details

  • A full day, 9:30 to 5:30.
  • Soft start at 9:30. Hard start at 10:00.
  • Six actors in the room, with Lewis and a support worker.
  • For actors aged 18 and over.
  • Next workshop: end of January 2027.
