A tape day in my Liverpool studio with two scenes.
(If you have never worked with me before, I ask that you take a foundations course or come to a workshop first.)
A reader and an access worker are with you from start to finish.
This is everything in the One Scene Day, with a lunch break in the middle and a second scene after it. We regulate again when you come back, so the afternoon starts as settled as the morning. There's no time limit on either scene. The training behind the day is FUME's, developed with Occupational Therapy and Speech and Language professionals.
What's included
A reader, who works opposite you so you're never acting to an empty chair.
An access worker, with you throughout so your needs are looked after without you having to ask.
Two scenes I choose for you.
A regulation meditation made for you, and games, before we tape.
A second round of regulation after lunch.
Coaching in the room: warm-ups, exercises and help working through what you're thinking and feeling, the way a personal trainer would.
A full cinema rig with lights and sound.
My edit and grade in DaVinci Resolve, and copies of both finished tapes.
The day
I set up the studio the day before. You arrive at 10:30. We do the meditation and games, then tape scene one. After lunch we regulate again and tape scene two.
Booking and payment
You pay a 50% deposit (£175) at checkout to secure your date. The remaining £175 is charged automatically one week after you book. This is for actors aged 18 and over.
Cancellation
Your deposit is non-refundable. If you cancel with more than 7 days' notice, we'll move your session to a new date at no charge. If you cancel with less than 7 days' notice, I keep the deposit. If you don't turn up, the full fee is payable.
Dates and rescheduling
I'm a working professional actor and I'll do everything I can to give you your preferred dates. If acting work comes up before your session, I'll contact you to rearrange it.
Your tapes and footage
FUME shoots your tapes and owns the footage. You'll be sent a copy of each. I may make an edited version for social media, and if I do, I'll invite you as a collaborator on the post. If you share your tapes, please credit @fumeactinglab. If a tape is for a specific casting audition, I'll delete the footage once the project has been delivered.
